JEFFREY T. CICARELLA is an associate in the Business and Finance department of Taft's Cleveland office. He counsels corporate clients on various legal, strategic and commercial issues affecting their businesses. His areas of focus include mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, commercial business and finance matters, and general corporate law.
Mr. Cicarella's mergers and acquisitions work includes representing public and private company clients in stock, asset and merger transactions, and he advises private equity firms in buying and selling portfolio companies. Mr. Cicarella's commercial finance work includes representing borrowers in a wide range of commercial finance transactions, as he has experience in secured and unsecured, syndicated and single lender transactions.
Mr. Cicarella earned a B.S from Miami University, an M.B.A. from the Weatherhead School of Management, and a J.D. (cum laude) from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He authored "Wake of Death: How the Current MAC Standard Circumvents the Purpose of the MAC Clause," 57 Case Wes. Res. L. Rev. 423 (2007), and co-authored "The World of 'Loan-to-Own' and Credit Bidding," Clev. Metro. B.J., Sept. 2009.
