KATHERINE GRGIC is an associate in Taft’s environmental and litigation practice groups.  Ms. Grgic represents clients concerning numerous aspects of environmental law, with an emphasis on the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and RCRA liability and compliance issues, solid and hazardous waste permitting, air permitting, and civil and criminal enforcement actions.  Ms. Grgic has worked extensively on discovery matters and the development of legal defenses in Clean Air Act NSR/PSD litigation.  In addition, she has experience in responding to Information Requests issued pursuant to Section 114 of the Clean Air Act.  She has also been involved in the representation of several contaminated MGP sites.  Ms. Grgic also has experience in general civil litigation. 

Ms. Grgic graduated summa cum laude from St. Joseph’s College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English.  She earned her juris doctorate, cum laude, from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law-Bloomington, where she served as a Managing Editor on the Federal Communications Law Journal and as an Executive Competition Coordinator on the Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition Executive Board. She was a semi-finalist in the 2007-2008 Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition and in 2009 was named to the Order of the Barristers. 

Ms. Grgic currently sits on the Board of Directors for Mental Health America of Greater Indianapolis, a local non-profit organization.
