CHAD SWEENEY is a member of the Business Law practice group in Taft’s Indianapolis office. He has diverse experience in economic development, private equity, mergers and acquisitions and corporate financing transactions for private businesses and large corporations. Mr. Sweeney also serves as Director of Corporate Development for Ginovus, an independently operated and managed economic development services affiliate of the law firm.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sweeney served four years as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel for the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC). In these positions, Mr. Sweeney worked with IEDC leadership to secure billions of dollars of capital investment and thousands of jobs for Indiana. Previous to his tenure with IEDC he practiced as a CPA with Deloitte & Touche.

Mr. Sweeney holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Indiana University’s Kelly School of Business and a juris doctorate from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law.
