NADYA CHANG is of counsel in the firm's Labor and Employment practice group specializing in Immigration and Citizenship. She handles a broad spectrum of employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, including labor certification (PERM), employer-sponsored preference petitions, special interest petitions, national interest waivers, H-1B specialty occupation worker, L-1 intra-company transfer, E-1 treaty trader/investor, NAFTA Canadian and Mexican professional, R-1 religious worker, J-1 exchange visitor, B-1 business visitor, and other classifications. She also advises employers regarding I-9 and E-Verify compliance obligations. In addition to employment-based immigration representation, Ms. Chang provides counseling and representation in the areas of naturalization/citizenship and family-based immigration, including spousal and fiance(e) cases.
Ms. Chang holds a Juris Doctorate from the College of William and Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law. She also has a Master of Arts in English Literature from the University of Rochester, and earned her undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Chicago. She was an associate with the firm from 1988-1991, and prior to rejoining the firm in 2008, had a solo immigration practice in Cincinnati, and previously served as an in-house environmental attorney with GE Aircraft Engines.
