NEAL ROACH focuses his practice in the areas of business transactions (particularly intellectual property licensing transactions), corporate compliance and securities law compliance, and healthcare and life sciences law. He has represented numerous startup and high-growth companies on a broad range of matters.
 
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Roach spent fourteen years with Roche Diagnostics, which is part of the Roche Group, one of the world’s leading innovation-driven healthcare groups, and the world leader in in-vitro diagnostics. During his tenure at Roche, Mr. Roach held several legal and business development positions. He served as Head of Global Licensing, heading a transnational organization with responsibility for the global intellectual property asset management strategy of Roche Diagnostics. He also served as Vice President of Ethics and Compliance, with overall responsibility for the company’s corporate compliance program, and as Associate General Counsel.
 
Mr. Roach served as law clerk to Judge Gilbert S. Merritt of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He received his law degree from Yale Law School in 1987, where he was managing editor of the Yale Law & Policy Review. Mr. Roach received his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Carson-Newman College in 1984.
