TRENT SANDIFUR is a member of the firm’s White Collar Criminal Defense, International, Litigation and Intellectual Property practice groups. He concentrates his practice on complex civil and criminal cases and internal investigations. Mr. Sandifur has represented clients in litigation matters set in state court, federal court, before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and before the International Court of Arbitration.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sandifur served four years on active duty in the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. While in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, Mr. Sandifur served three years on special assignment to the Department of Justice where he was a Special Assistant United States Attorney at the Louisville, Kentucky United States Attorney’s Office.
As a Special Assistant United States Attorney, Mr. Sandifur investigated and prosecuted violations of state and federal criminal law on Fort Knox Military Reservation, including bank and wire fraud, embezzlement, theft of government property, drug manufacturing and trafficking, aggravated sexual assault, child molestation and the production and possession of child pornography. Mr. Sandifur tried over forty bench and jury trials to verdict in federal court while he was assigned to the Department of Justice. He also conducted and reviewed numerous internal investigations as a Judge Advocate.
Mr. Sandifur also served as Trial Counsel, Legal Assistance Attorney and Ethics Advisor at Fort Knox. Mr. Sandifur continues his military service in the Army Reserve, where he is a Captain and Assistant Staff Judge Advocate.
