Chambers 2011DONALD DENSBORN is a partner in the Business and Finance department of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP situated in its Indianapolis office. He has practiced corporate finance law for over 30 years, serving diverse businesses, investors, financing sources, and entrepreneurs in an array of fundraising and acquisition transactions. His work includes, as well, substantial governance, compliance and consultative aspects. He has experience with commercial and owner-occupied real estate, particularly its financing, leasing, and conveyancing. Mr. Densborn earned degrees, both magna cum laude, from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and the Indiana University Kelley School of Business-Bloomington, where he concentrated in accounting and finance and was initiated into Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honorary Fraternity. He is listed in The Best Lawyers of America, Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business, and The Bond Buyer's Municipal Market Place. Annually, he has been named an "Indiana Super Lawyer" by the publishers of Law & Politics magazine, and has been designated a member of Indianapolis' "Who's Who" in both law and finance by Indianapolis Business Journal. He chaired the Business Law Section of the Indianapolis Bar Association and has served since 1998 as an Indiana Commissioner to the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws. At the Conference, he has participated as a member of the Drafting Committees for its products the Revised Limited Liability Company Act and the Uniform Business Organizations Act. He served as an editor of and contributor to the Real Estate Securities Journal. Mr. Densborn is active in numerous civic and charitable organizations, having served on the boards of Venture Club of Indiana, Economics Club of Indianapolis, St. Elizabeth's Coleman (President), Community Centers of Indianapolis, and Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis (Chairman), among others. He is a past national president of Sigma Nu Fraternity.
