EDWIN BROECKER is a partner in the Business and Finance Department and Real Estate Practice Group. He is a 1991 graduate of the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was the Executive Articles Editor of the Indiana Law Review. He is a 1988 graduate of Wabash College, where he graduated Cum Laude. Mr. Broecker advises large and small privately-held companies in various industries, including hospitality and gaming, high technology, IT and life sciences, construction, manufacturing, and sales and distribution. Mr. Broecker concentrates his practice on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and commercial real estate (acquisitions, leasing and financing). His practice includes advising clients regarding the proper structure, acquiring capital, and acquiring and disposing of business assets. Mr. Broecker has also represented clients in numerous significant commercial real estate transactions over the years, including the development, sale or refinancing of retail centers, office buildings, and hotels and gaming facilities. Mr. Broecker has been named an Indiana Super Lawyer. In 2005, he was recognized by the Indianapolis Business Journal as a “Forty under 40” and in 2002, Mr. Broecker was selected as the only attorney in the Indianapolis Business Journal’s inaugural listing of “Who’s Who in Technology”. Mr. Broecker was a law clerk for Sarah Evans Barker, Judge, United States District Court, Southern District of Indiana.
