TRACY BETZ is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. She focuses her practice on all litigation matters, including cases involving business and contract disputes, intellectual property, non-compete and securities litigation, labor and employment, and other general business and corporate matters. 
 
Ms. Betz graduated from Indiana University-Bloomington with a BA in political science and gender studies, and a JD, cum laude.  In law school, she was named a Top Oralist in the 2002 Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition, and was the recipient of both an IU School of Law Merit Scholarship and the Edward Pinto Scholarship. 
 
Since joining the firm, Ms. Betz has enjoyed significant court room time in both state and federal courts involving all aspects of litigation from arguing motions, to trying cases.  She has also had the opportunity to appear in front of the Indiana Court of Appeals where she successfully briefed and orally argued an appeal dealing with utility law and immunity issues  (Longardner v. Citizens Gas & Coke Utility, 856 N.E.3d 796 (Ind. Ct. App. 2006)).   Ms. Betz was named as one of 15 Up and Coming Lawyers for 2008 by the Indiana Lawyer.   The award honors Indiana attorneys who make meaningful contributions not only to the legal profession but to their communities and beyond.  
 
Ms. Betz is very active within the Indianapolis community.  She currently volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana and works with the protective Order Pro Bono Project of Greater Indianapolis, Inc.  She is an Executive Board member of the Young Lawyers Division of the Indianapolis Bar Association, and serves as campaign coordinator to the Marion County Democratic Judges' Re-Election Campaign 2008.
