RYAN M. BEDNARCZUK is a member of the firm's Intellectual Property and Litigation practice groups. He focuses his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, intellectual property litigation, and intellectual property licensing and prosecution.
He has been actively involved in various complex commercial litigations and intellectual property cases nationwide. Such intellectual property actions include disputes over IP policies and licensing, trademark infringement and unfair competition, trade secret litigation, and successful patent litigation before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Mr. Bednarczuk also has significant experience on the prosecution and transactional side. He has conducted due diligence on intellectual property concerns for mergers, acquisitions, and divestures and with respect to freedom-to-operate issues. He has handled various intellectual property assignments and licenses, policies and procedures, software and end user agreements, technology transfer agreements, clearance and availability matters, and e-commerce matters. He also has experience managing trademark portfolios and handling intellectual property disputes in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Mr. Bednarczuk graduated magna cum laude from University of Notre Dame Law School. He received a B.S.E. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Duke University.
Mr. Bednarczuk has been recognized as a Rising Star by Ohio Super Lawyers 2012. He participated in the drafting of the Local Patent Rules for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and participated in a roundtable with Hon. Steve Chabot (R-Ohio) regarding the recently enacted Leahy-Smith America Invents Act. He is an Enforcement Committee Member for the International Trademark Association (“INTA”), Subcommittee on Trade Names; Member of The Potter Stewart American Inn of Court; Committee Member for CincyIP; Executive Board Member and Co-Chair of Income Development for the American Cancer Society, Hamilton County; and Trustee for the Wetherington Community Homeowners Association.
