MONICA L. GEARDING is a partner in the Real Estate and Business and Finance Practice Groups of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP. She received her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, graduating cum laude.

Ms. Gearding focuses her practice on commercial and corporate law, with an emphasis on real estate matters, commercial lending and consumer finance. Her real property experience includes commercial real estate sales and acquisitions; acquisition and construction financing; single family, condominium and mixed use developments; commercial leasing; property management; broker licensing; and construction and development work.

Her business and finance experience includes commercial financing and UCC, Article 9 sales and transactions. Her consumer finance experience includes consumer law compliance review, preparation and review of form contracts for compliance with various state RISA’s, UCCC’s and other state and federal laws.

She is a Board Member and CEO of Advanced Industrial Measurement Systems, Inc. (AIMS).  Ms. Gearding is also a member of the firm’s Professional Women’s Resource Group (PWRG) and is in her fourth term as a member of the Wilder, Kentucky City Council.
